Sumisora Tsubasa Yuzuki-kun, Haruhi-kun, you did well during the interview! Without further ado, for you two...

Teramitsu Haruhi Nh? What's this?

Sumisora Tsubasa A card Akane-kun and Miroku-kun entrusted me with. It's a bit early, but it seems to be a birthday treasure hunt.

Teramitsu Haruhi Eh- a treasure hunt!?

Teramitsu Yuduki Haru, try to open the card.

Teramitsu Haruhi Okay!

Teramitsu Haruhi ... Let's see, let's see. "Mansion lounge, behind the cake"?

Teramitsu Yuduki This... I wonder if this means there's literally a cake in the lounge.

Teramitsu Yuduki But it kind of bothers me that the word "cake" is written in hiragana. It might mean something.

Teramitsu Haruhi You're right!!

Teramitsu Haruhi Waaah~ I really love these sort of things! I'm so excited--! Yuzuki, let's go back at once!

Teramitsu Yuduki Fufu, let's.

Sumisora Tsubasa Then, I'll bring you back to the mansion immediately.

Teramitsu Haruhi Where is the birthday cake!?

Teramitsu Yuduki Hmm.... I can't seem to find one... There's something on that table!

Teramitsu Haruhi You're right! That's an unusual place to leave... wait. What's this?

Teramitsu Haruhi A kitchen scale, used for cooking.

Teramitsu Haruhi Don't tell me the "cake" was actually a "meter"[1]...?

Teramitsu Yuduki Oh, so you realized, Haru. Look. There's a card under the scale.

Teramitsu Haruhi Huff, what kinda joke is this?

Sumisora Tsubasa Haruhi-kun, what's written on it?

Teramitsu Haruhi "To Yuzuki and Tsubasa, the next card is inside the King's room".

Teramitsu Haruhi ... Eh? It says I have to wait here 30 minutes!

Teramitsu Haruhi Why only me!? No way! I wanna come too!

Teramitsu Yuduki No. I'm sure that you staying here has a meaning.

Teramitsu Haruhi What kind?

Teramitsu Yuduki In case there's a switch we have to push from both the room and the lounge, for example.

Teramitsu Haruhi A switch...!? That does sound interesting!

Teramitsu Yuduki Okay, when such an instructions come I'll leave it to you then.

Teramitsu Haruhi Leave it to me, Yuzuki!

Teramitsu Yuduki Thank you, Haru... Tsubasa-san, let's go.

Sumisora Tsubasa Y-Yes!

Teramitsu Yuduki Huh... I kind of feel bad for leaving Haru alone.

Sumisora Tsubasa Haruhi-kun doesn't even think you tricked him.

Sumisora Tsubasa But if it goes according to the plan, I'm sure he'll definitely be happy!

Teramitsu Yuduki Yes... I'm sure it's like you say.

Teramitsu Yuduki Okay. I have to prepare everything quickly, so I can pick Haru up.

  1. There's an actual word play here: a few lines before it was mentioned that the word "cake" was written in hiragana, which means, like Yuzuki pointed out, that there could have been other meanings to it. In japanese both "cake" and "meter" are pronounced as "keeki", but written differently: ケーキ (cake) and 計器 (meter) and that's where the misunderstanding comes from.
